Do I need to attend COGS to register for Balancing the Brain?
No, you can register for Balancing the Brain separately. However, if you're already attending COGS, your admission to our conference is free!
How do I submit an abstract?
Abstract submissions go through the COGS platform. When submitting, select "yes" when asked if your research is relevant to Balancing the Brain.
What is the abstract deadline?
The deadline for abstract submissions is January 11th, 2026.
What if I can't make the abstract deadline?
If you cannot submit your abstract by Jan 11th 2026, please fill out the contact form below and attach your abstract as a PDF. Select "Abstract Submission" as the subject. We will accept abstracts submitted this way until Feb 2nd 2026. Please also indicate in the message if you would like to be considered for an oral presentation.
How do I apply for the Balancing the Brain Investigator award?
Submit an abstract by the deadline. When submitting select "yes" when asked if your research is relevant to Balancing the Brain and then select "yes" when asked if you want to be considered for an oral presentation. The top 4 rated abstracts that say yes to both of these will be awarded the Balancing the Brain Investigator award.
